Empowering Industries in Oman
Dawood Al-Mandhri, Director of Government Sector Commercial Accounts at The Data Park, spoke on Muscat Show about The Data Park’s advantages as the leading and primary provider of managed data services, cloud services, and cybersecurity. He highlighted the company’s significant contributions to achieving Oman Vision 2040, as well as its global achievements through expansion in Zanzibar, Tanzania, and the Suez Canal Economic Zone. Additionally, he discussed the company’s support for Omani youth through training and employment programs, such as the “Sahab” program, along with other important points.
Dr. Haider Mohammed Al-Lawati, Head of Artificial Intelligence at The Data Park, followed the AI awareness series on Muscat Radio. He attributed the boom in this field to the availability of data, the development of algorithms, and the availability of high-efficiency computing devices. He also touched upon Sultan Haitham’s approval of the National Program for Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology, in line with Oman Vision 2040. He emphasized that Oman is at the beginning of its AI journey and that partnerships between various companies, including research, scientific, and governmental entities, are needed to achieve transformation and AI adoption. He also covered other important topics.
